Assembly Manager

IMH Recruitment have a Permanent Vacancy for our client based in Barnsley. This an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor.

The Role:

• Address production issues as they arise.
• Make recommendations about ways to improve employee efficiency and reduce costs.
• Preparing materials required for production.
• Soldering of various electronic assemblies
• Preparing panel enclosure for final assembly including drilling operation.
• Conducting quality checks.
• Completing productivity reports, detailing number of products made etc.
• Performing minor repairs and reporting breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Ensure the production department is clean and safe.
• Ensure staff adhere to Health and Safety legislation and policies.
• Assess risks and report to SHEQ Officer
• Liaise and communicate with other departments and ensure an effective interface is maintained.
• Manage the manufacturing team so that they can meet production deadlines.

About You:

• Excellent IT skills to enable confident use of the bespoke in house CRM system (Microsoft Business Central) and general Microsoft systems such as excel and word.
• Practical experience of electronic assembly techniques and components.
• Experienced working with electronic components and PCB Boards
• Practical experience of mechanical assembly using both hand tools and power tools

Hours & Pay:

£26,000 annually

Monday – Friday

35 hours per week
