Careers Advisor

IMH Recruitment are currently working with the local authority in Barnsley to find a reliable Information, Advice and Guidance Advisor.

A little bit about the role:

The role will require advisors to work out within the local area, as well as in Wellington House (central Barnsley location), so advisors will need to be able to travel across the area. Some administrative tasks may be completed at home but it is envisaged that applicants will work flexibly to meet the needs of the resident as well as the business.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant area
  • UK Valid Driving Licence
  • Experience of preparing individual SMART Action Plans
  • Experience of providing information and advice relating to volunteering, education, training, employment, health and welfare.

Substantial experience of working with the adults and young people who have experienced significant barriers and challenges with demonstrable experience of their successful progress into or towards employment, education or training.

Hours and Pay:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Full time (37 hours P/Week)
  • £14.17 P/Hour
  • Weekly pay
  • Some potential of working from home for admin tasks
