Mailroom Driver – PR1 2HE
Job description
Job Purpose:
To provide a high quality and customer focused service in the delivery, collection and processing of mail, parcels and related goods. To also carry out a portering role and assist with the general operation of the University vehicle fleet.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- 1. To deliver, collect and sort internal and external mail as directed by the Mailroom Supervisor.
- To facilitate small internal removals on request as stated in the University Removals Procedure and as directed by the Mailroom Supervisor.
- To drive all University Fleet vehicles as directed by the Mailroom Supervisor, including Hospital and Library sites off central campus and reprographics deliveries.
- To operate the Mailroom fork lift truck.
- To wear uniform as provided and be of smart appearance at all times.
- To attend training as required in accordance with the duties of the post.
- To work in accordance with the operating procedures and protocols and ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation.
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday
- 8-4
- £11.44 P/Hour
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £11.44 per hour
Expected hours: 36.25 per week
Experience:
- mailroom: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
