IMH Recruitment are looking for a reliable Receptionist to work for our client based in the Huddersfield area.
Job Overview
To provide a welcoming an approachable reception and information and access service, make an assessment of enquiries and provide information and assistance to service users, carers and members of the public.
To identify the social care needs of people living in Kirklees, and to respond, often in partnership, with quality services which safeguard and promote the well being and safety of those people in the community who are in need.
Responsibilities
- Acting on behalf of duty social workers by screening referrals for teams including children and families, children with disabilities, adult services.
- Deal with complex enquiries regarding asylum seekers, persons from abroad, vulnerable adults and missing persons in line with procedures. This includes assessing and collating information from government departments and other agencies prioritising/screening and investigating
- To advise, assist with completion of forms, monitor and make decision against eligibility following guidelines from legislation.
- To provide a professional, friendly and courteous information service showing an understanding and sensitivity when dealing with enquiries either by telephone, in person, letter or electronically, responding in a professional manner.
- To make telephone enquiries and arrange or facilitate required visits or appointments on behalf of enquirers.
- Ensure effective customer records are maintained for users of the service, and information relating to “high risk” customers are passed on to the Deputy Team Manager in accordance with protocols.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a receptionist role
- Experience in Admin
- Good use of Microsoft systems
Hours & Pay:
- 37 Hours per week
- Monday – Friday
- £12.59 Per hour
