Adoption Coordinator

IMH Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Adoption Mailbox & Contact Coordinator for our client based in Bolton, BL1.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage adoption letterbox contact arrangements across six local authorities.
  • Support adoptive and birth families with ongoing contact arrangements.
  • Process and monitor the exchange of letters and information between families.
  • Ensure records and case files are maintained accurately and securely.
  • Review contact arrangements to ensure they remain appropriate for the child.
  • Provide practical advice, guidance, and emotional support to families.
  • Assist with adoption clinics across multiple localities.
  • Work closely with social workers and partner agencies.
  • Contribute to assessments through written observations and reports.
  • Support and facilitate occasional face-to-face meetings between adoptive and birth families where appropriate.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Childcare, Health & Social Care, or a related subject.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Enhanced DBS Check.
  • Knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and childcare legislation.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with a high level of accuracy.
  • Good IT skills and experience using electronic record systems.
  • Ability to travel across the region.
  • Flexible approach to occasional evening or weekend work if required.

Hours & Pay:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • £14.91 – £16.07 per hour
  • Weekly pay via agency!

  • NVQ Level 4 in Childcare, Health & Social Care, or related (preferred)
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
