Handy Person
IMH Recruitment are currently looking for a Handyperson to work on behalf of Sheffield City Council.
Purpose of role:
There is a diverse mix of accommodation for Care Leavers across Sheffield city. They work closely with partners to increase the range of options and have recently developed 6 new trainer flats. This a new service model and an exciting opportunity to deliver services to Care Leavers in a holistic way offering semi-Independent accommodation, to young people aged 16+ who have high support needs, including service users with complex needs.
What’s expected:
As a Handy Person, you will have a range of responsibilities, skills, and experience to carry out routine repair and maintenance jobs.
- To carry out a range of minor repairs to building, furniture and equipment.
- Working with housing ensuring flats are ready for young people.
- Supporting young people with household maintenance and decorating.
- Providing a point of contact for young people for advice about household maintenance.
- Full UK Driving Licence to get to and from different flats.
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Thursday 08:45- 17:00
- Friday- 08:45- 16:45
- £12.00- £12.93
- Weekly pay
- Mileage paid
