Mig Welder

IMH is currently looking for a MIG Welder for our well established client in the area of Doncaster

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment according to job requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
• Weld steel, aluminum, or stainless steel components to specified tolerances
• Prepare materials by measuring, cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces
• Inspect finished welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance
• Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment and tools
• Follow safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
• Repair or rework welds as needed to meet quality standards

Required Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in MIG welding techniques
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures
• Ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, gauges)
• Basic knowledge of metal properties and fabrication methods
• Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Hours and Pay

• Mon-Thurs 07:30am to 16:00 pm
• Friday 07:30am to 13:00pm
• £17 ph
