Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester

IMH Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Workshop LV Technician / MOT Tester for our client in Rotherham, S66.

Job Duties:

• Carry out MOT and Taxi Compliance testing to DVSA standards.
• Complete vehicle inspections, fault diagnosis, maintenance, repairs and MOT preparation.
• Work on a range of light vehicles and potentially hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Use vehicle diagnostic equipment where required.
• Prepare and present vehicles for annual MOT inspections.
• Complete safety inspections and input relevant information onto the compliance database.
• Assist with breakdowns, accident-damaged vehicles and vehicle repairs when required.

Responsibilities:

• Hold a current MOT Testing Licence – qualifications must be up to date.
• Hold a Light Vehicle Inspection qualification or have proven vocational/time-served experience.
• Ideally have experience in Taxi Compliance Testing (desirable, not essential).
• Good health and safety awareness.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Computer/IT literate.
• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
• Basic DBS check required.

Hours and Pay:

• Monday – Friday
• 7:30am – 3:30pm
• £16.62 per hour.
• Weekly pay via agency!
• Overtime/standby may be required when needed.
